We have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our finance team in Skelmersdale.
Main Responsibilities and Objectives:
Preparation of Weekly Profit and Loss statement:
- Preparation of the weekly P&L and operational KPIs
- Attend Operational P&L reviews and support with financial insight to support performance analysis
Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts:
- Ensure AR, AP ledgers, and payroll postings are closed in-line with month end deadlines
- Prepare journals to ensure the Financial Position and performance are recorded accurately
- Prepare monthly P&L and ensure it reconciles to the weekly P&L with variance analysis where necessary
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare MBR report for the Senior Management Team
Management of Payroll process:
- Prepare the input file to allow the payroll team to produce the weekly and monthly reports
- Work with the payroll and finance team to manage any employee payroll queries when they arise
Cashflow:
- Prepare the cashflow forecast to ensure short term liquidity is maintained and long-term working capital requirements are managed effectively
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Support FC in preparing Budgets and latest view forecasts
Ad Hoc:
- Prepared to assist with all financial and admin-based tasks that the business may require support in
- Highlight any control issues or areas of risk to the operation that you may come across
- Liaise with External Auditors, the Bank, other third-party services to help advance the business
Skills required:
- Numerate and literate with excellent IT skills
- Accountancy /Treasury processes and procedures
- Sales and Purchase Ledger
- Excellent numeracy skills with knowledge and skills in the preparation and maintenance of proper financial records and banking procedures and reporting on same.

Wage / Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience
